CELEBRATING AN UNSUNG HERO
Johannesburg, Book Launch, Ismail Mahomed, Liberating the Law. South Africa’s first democratically appointed Chief Justice, the late Ismail Mahomed was a philosopher of law, a man of towering intellect. He spent his entire life in service of the law and justice, contributing significantly to laying the foundation for human rights in our country.
The Project Justice Trust with Awqaf SA has published and will be launching a biographical sketch of Chief Justice Ismail Mahomed to honour him 20 years after his passing, Awaf, through its Leaders and Legacy program, is committed to celebrating leaders in diverse areas by publishing books celebrating their contributions. The principal object of the Project Justice Trust is the advocacy and promotion of human rights.

Hoosain Ayob
The editing and publishing of the biography of Hoosain Ayob. Ayob has contributed to both the teaching and learning environment and the African sports world; he has through mentoring and coaching paved the way for many Black (African, Indian and Coloured) sportspersons.
Mohamed Enver Sutry
Two prints of the book of former Deputy Minister of Basic Education and former Minister of Justice of South Africa have been sold. A third print is expected soon. It contains stories about his journey as a young lawyer and also his 25 years in public service.
Journey of a legendary fast bowler
After 10 years of writing, cricket’s fast bowling legend Hoosain Ayob is launching his book about his life, love and pain. He tells a story of a young life of comfort and a sudden fall into poverty. From there to Mia’s Farm where he discovered his rich talent as a bowler, Ayob’s journey traverses the old and new South Africa, reaching into many African countries.
